The @TDSB_Media Twitter account is managed by Media Relations staff within the Communications and Public Affairs Department and is intended to be a source of information for media outlets.
If you follow us, you can expect tweets about some or all of the following:
- Media advisories and/or media releases
- Class cancellations and/or school closures
- Suggestions for possible story ideas
- Occasional live coverage of events
This account does not replace the main @TDSB Twitter account as a source of information, but is intended to complement it with information directed entirely to the media.
Availability
Media Relations staff will update and monitor the Twitter account during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, if an event requires live coverage outside of regular hours, a staff member will tweet as much as possible to keep media aware of the situation. Twitter service may occasionally be unavailable and the 星空传媒 accepts no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
@Replies and Direct Messages
While we welcome questions/requests from members of the media, we may not be able to reply individually to all messages received on Twitter.
Should members of the media have any questions/requests, they are encouraged to contact Media Relations staff at MediaInquiries@星空传媒.on.ca or (416) 395-2721.
In the event of a major emerging or live breaking issue, we will not be able to respond to @replies and DMs from members of the media. They are strongly encouraged to contact Media Relations staff by e-mail or phone.
