TDSB Approves 2025-26 Budget 鈥� At the Board Meeting on June 18, Trustees approved the 2025-26 budget and agreed on a plan to balance the budget and eliminate a $34.4 million deficit over the next two years. Learn more.
Excellence Awards Recipients 鈥� We are delighted to announce the 2025 TDSB Excellence Awards Recipients. More than 165 nominations were submitted this year, and each nomination told a story of leadership, innovation, compassion, and commitment. Learn about the recipients.
Backpack & School Supplies Drive 鈥� The 2025 Backpack & School Supplies Drive is now live! Donate a new backpack, school supplies, or make a donation to support a student. Learn more.
Student Interest Programs Policy (P100) Consultation 鈥� The TDSB鈥檚 Student Interest Programs Policy is under review and public consultation will take place from June 23 to November 28, 2025. Check back in September to complete an online survey or to attend a scheduled consultation meeting (in-person and virtual). Read the draft policy and learn more.

Reminders
Pride Parade 鈥� We are thrilled to invite students, staff, and their families and friends to join the loud and proud TDSB contingent at the Toronto Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29. Learn more.
TDSB Summer Well-Being Guide 鈥� Access culturally responsive and identity-affirming resources to support the mental well-being of students and families throughout the summer. The guide is available in TDSB鈥檚 top 22 spoken languages. Learn more.
The 2025-26 School Year Calendar 鈥� The 2025-26 School Year Calendar is now available online. The first day of classes for all students is Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Student Transportation for 2025-26 鈥� will phase in transportation for the 2025-26 school year. Service begins Tuesday, September 2 for students with special education needs (excluding those in the gifted program). All other eligible students will start Monday, September 8, pending driver availability. Please sign up for the for key updates.
